Wonderful studio and I love your Ellsworth Kelly exploration! I’m so happy to see more art related newsletters here on substack. I started Visual Coffee Break last year not sure if anyone would like short form and mostly visual posts, but so far I’ve had readers/viewers who seem to like it. Looking forward to more of your posts, subscribing now!
I'm SO glad you're here too! Very much looking forward to seeing what fruit falls :) and I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again, I'm soooooo jealous of that studio with Candace, I dream of sewing in a creative space with other humans!! Incredible! Also, I vote for a Donna newsletter... what a legacy she has!
Hello! I started using Substack recently to connect with the Daughter Judy subscription. I also follow you on IG bc I took a Helene Jeans class at SLC Sewciety and came across your deep dive into those jeans. I’m a science teacher so enjoy the details. I have plans of incorporating fabric I make (on a rigid heddle loom) into patterns. And I just found out - reading your first post here - that you also live in the PNW. So lots in common and I look forward to reading your posts and perspectives and seeing projects :)
Hi Amy! Daughter Judy was my first introduction to Substack, too. Since then it’s been fun to explore this platform. Thanks for being here in my little corner! 😊
Hi Stacey! Polly Furr here, just down the road in Portland. So pleased for you to have this space, and association with a studio-mate. I'm looking forward to seeing what you make of It All, especially process. I am working on Master Patterns in preparation for Art to Wear (for myself) from reused and deadstock materials. Very best wishes to you.
I love your blog and I’m so glad you started a substack! Excited to see what’s to come

A Donna newsletter is in the works! I’ve been thinking about the concept of “legacy” a lot lately, so this will be well timed. 😊
Welcome to Substack, I so enjoyed your first post and learning about your studio!
Thank you, Ruth! ❤️
Wow, how exciting to share a space with a fellow creative! I'm sure you're going to have a blast!
Thanks, Marilla! Excited to see you here, looking forward to following your creative endeavors! 😊
